Seats left is never stored — it is your places minus the children admitted minus the seats you are holding open, worked out fresh on every screen — and the reserved buckets do not bleed: RTE, sibling, staff and management places stay promised to their own queue, so a general applicant is refused while a management seat sits empty, and a class you over-admitted says “2 over” rather than a tidy zero. Offers carry a real deadline: accept and the admission bill is raised, decline and the seat goes back, and if nobody answers the offer lapses within the hour and the next family on the waitlist is offered it automatically — one applicant per seat freed. The waitlist is ranked by your own written policy turned into points (sibling, alumni parent, staff ward, distance, entrance band), and every application shows the breakdown, so the answer to “why did that child come first” is a sentence you can read out rather than a number nobody can see inside.

The sibling discount, the staff-ward allowance and the early-bird rate stated once instead of typed into two hundred invoices. Conditions are a closed set a bursar can read — second child onwards, staff ward, RTE quota, scholarship holder, named classes, inside the early window — with a priority order and rules that can be marked to apply alone, so a family never quietly collects two sibling discounts. Before anything is billed, a dry run shows the per-student impact and the school total for the next cycle: the figure you would otherwise discover in next month’s collections. Every discount granted carries the name of the rule that granted it, on the invoice and in the concession voucher. Rules are read when a bill is raised, so changing one never rewrites invoices already issued — and hardship waivers stay exactly where they were, for the family whose story no rule describes.

The NEP’s holistic progress card, printed for the classes you choose — and gathered from four points of view, not one. The teacher observes against named learning outcomes, one outcome at a time down the class; the child answers a short form about itself (emoji answers for the little ones); classmates each pick one strength for the next few on the roll; the guardian answers six questions about home. The class teacher opens the input window and closes it, and a completeness table shows who has not answered — never what they said. The classmate round offers strengths only and is anonymous in every direction, so it can never become a pile-on. Work uploaded by anyone sits in a portfolio; only what a teacher marks “on the card” is printed. Three stage dialects come out of one renderer — a Class I card is a page a parent reads standing up, a Class VII card still carries the subject table — and switching a class to it never changes a mark. It publishes through the same screen, and the same one message, as the marks card.
